Rising proudly in the heart of Al Bukayriyah, the King Fahd Cultural and Social Complex Mosque brings together a large congregational prayer hall and a wider centre for social, educational, and charitable activity in the Al Qassim region of central Saudi Arabia. Al Qassim has long been recognised across the Arabian Peninsula for its scholarly heritage, its sprawling date palm groves, and the fierce summer heat that shapes the daily rhythm of its towns. Al Bukayriyah itself, lying on the old caravan roads linking Buraidah with Madinah, preserves a quiet desert character while growing steadily into a modern urban settlement that serves thousands of families from the surrounding farms and villages.
The complex carries the name of King Fahd ibn Abdulaziz, the late Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, whose name is attached to many Islamic institutions across the Kingdom and beyond. Remembering him at the entrance of the masjid invites worshippers to pray for every leader who served the community with care for orphans, students, and travellers, following the example of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, whose generosity was unmatched among all humankind.
Architecturally, the building draws on the restrained Najdi tradition: pale stone walls, shaded arcades, a modest minaret, and a spacious courtyard where palm trees offer relief from the midday sun. Inside, the prayer hall is carpeted in deep green, with a mihrab of carved plaster and a minbar of polished wood. The adjoining cultural wing hosts Qur'an memorisation classes, women's study circles, lectures for young men, and social events in support of widows and new converts across the neighbourhood.
Families from across Al Bukayriyah gather here for the five daily prayers, for Jumu'ah, for taraweeh during Ramadan, and for the two Eid prayers, often staying afterwards for dates, Arabic coffee, and conversation in the shaded plaza. Visitors searching for accurate prayer times in Al Qassim will find on this page the current schedule for Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha aligned with the masjid's own timetable, together with address, map, and notes that help every traveller through the central provinces of the Kingdom plan a peaceful and unhurried stop for worship here.
