Coupling devotion to Imam Husayn, peace be upon him, with the cultural centre bearing the name of his young son Ali Akbar, peace be upon him, both martyrs of the plains of Karbala, this jami mosque in the town of Shazand serves as both a place of daily prayer and a hub of educational programming.
